Our History
January 2001 saw two of the leading companies in the graphics industry coming together to form one
new company - Drent Goebel.
The unique strengths of each of the two companies perfectly complemented one another and this meant there would be inevitable benefits from merging. In the case of Drent, it had a highly innovative and dynamic approach as well as a passion for accepting the many new challenges posed by its clients. Conversely, Goebel had acquired vast experience throughout its many years of operation as well as an outstanding reputation across the international market.

Continuing the expansion process, June 2003 saw the well respected ‘Giebeler Company’ being added to our group. And most recently, in August 2005, RDP Marathon Inc. joined our group. They are one of the leading press manufacturers in North-America.

Founded in 1938, by Mr. H.H. Drent in Eerbeek, Drent Graphic Machines was one of the forefathers of the Dutch paper-industry. At first, he focused on converting machines and this was quickly followed by the production of both printing and folding machines. Subsequently, Drent increasingly concentrated on the production of innovative, high-quality web offset printing presses.

Throughout its 150-year history, Goebel continually focused on innovative technologies in the paper, film and foil processing markets. In particular, the web presses of Goebel were always deemed to meet the highest standards, so much so that they were able to meet the strict requirements of both stamp and banknote printing. 
Established in 1989, RDP Marathon supplies an extensive range of robust and reliable printing presses. These use a combination of printing processes and the core capabilities include gravure, flexo, waterless and offset printing.
